My name is Willie Lugo, owner and operator of Lugo
Entertainment. My DJ career started in high school,
when I started collecting records (yes,
records...remember those?). I started doing house
parties and pool parties for friends and DJ'ing at our
community center in Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in
Puerto Rico with some of my friends. I ended up in
South Florida and that is where I started to take my
DJ'ing more seriously. I was doing special events and
promotions, nightclubs, and parties. In the early 90's, I
started DJ'ing with one of the best companies in South
Florida. While there I learned to DJ and MC bar/bat
mitzvahs and corporate events. I eventually earned DJ
of the Year honors two years in a row. I also had the
opportunity to DJ in places like Puerto Rico (again),
Venezuela, Cayman Islands, Los Angeles,
Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Alabama, and throughout
Florida. Then in 1997, I packed up the wife and kids
and moved to Orlando. This is when I became a full
time DJ. I took my skills and talents to a couple local
companies where I learned the area. I also started
working in some of the local bars doing special events
(bartending competitions, Hawaiian Tropic bikini
contests, radio remotes). Then in 2001 I made the
jump to owning my own company, Lugo Entertainment.
You can find me DJing and MCing regularly at Walt
Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando.
Lugo Entertainment has performed in Orlando, Tampa,
Clearwater, St. Pete, Cocoa Beach, Vero Beach, Coral
Springs, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Jacksonville,
Clermont, Gainesville, and hopefully at your next event.
